Biden was handed his first setback today when  U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton, issued a temporary restraining order blocking Biden’s policy nationwide. The stay is for 14 days which gives both sides time to prepare to return to court.

The “100 Day Freeze on Deportation” was announced late Wednesday evening by DHS following Biden signing the “100 Day Freeze on Deportation” Moratorium. This Moratorium not only enacted the “100 Day Freeze” but also enacted changes to the Migrant Protection Protocols, also known as “remain in Mexico.” The changes were quickly implemented last Friday. There is no information available regarding whether the “Remain in Mexico” changes were included in the order.
